Technically speaking, my guess is that Adobe already has a flash player running on the iphone, but since they cannot distribute it as a browser plug-in, they instead chose to give developers the option to wrap their SWF applications into this Flash Player for iphone. This little Air application will let you drag and drop an FLV file and it will parse the file in binary and show you the contents of the FLV tags for analysis. This is a pretty old application I did when I was working at Di-f, but I figured I should revise it since I’ve using it a lot lately.
